The Alpaca Ranches of South Central Texas is a group of quality alpaca ranches that work together to promote the joys of raising alpacas. Our group of ranches is located just minutes from Houston in the Navasota / Hempstead / Waller, Texas area. As a group, we have over 50 years of combined experience raising these wonderful animals. Our mission is to work cooperatively, share experiences and knowledge, and provide new and experienced breeders with the opportunity to visit our ranches, all located within thirty minutes of each other. There is no other location in Texas where one can visit as many ranches located in one area. It could be said that our area is the "alpaca capital" of Texas!
